Sweet-Images Photography ‘Snaps’ up Best Blog Post at International Awards.

Somerset based equine photography specialist Sweet-Images Photography, operated by Rachel Bragg, has claimed the award for Best Blog Post at the recent Equestrian Creative Network Awards.

The Equestrian Creative Network (ECN) is an online platform that showcases equestrian creative talent. You’ll find everything from journalists, marketers, photographers, web developers, writers, and many more, all highlighting their creative abilities on the site, which makes it the perfect place for conversations to start between client and creatives alike. The awards, in their inaugural year, attracted a lot of interest from members of ECN and the public alike. Voting was based on a 50% share from the public and 50% from peer review.

When Rachel was first advised she was a finalist in two different categories of the ECN Awards – the Best Blog Post and Best ECN Profile – she was more than a little shocked. “Gaining my place alongside some much larger and far more established equine and rural businesses was the biggest thrill of the year for me and I was incredibly satisfied to have got that far,” said Rachel. “I genuinely never expected to win anything, but when Liam Killen (founder of ECN) read out my name during the online announcement for winning the Best Blog Post category I must have looked a picture myself because my jaw dropped and my mouth was hung open for so long I got jaw ache! I’d just about got myself together after doing a bit of a dance in my little office, which set off my spaniel, William, to run in circles too, when all of a sudden Liam read my name out AGAIN! I had to rewind to discover that I’d also come second in the category of Best ECN Profile! I can’t even begin to tell you how delighted I am and I can’t thank everyone who voted for me enough – together with my gratitude to the sponsors of this event. Totally gobsmacked!”

Rachel started Sweet-Images Photography in 2013, initially as a freelance equine event photographer. She’s worked for a number of the country’s leading on-site show photographers. In more recent times she’s expanded the business into offering personal equine photo shoots, successfully gaining a loyal and growing following on social media. Whilst she is based in Somerset she travels the UK with her photography.
