Could you be the FEI's social media star?

An all-expenses paid trip to Barcelona to cover the FEI Nations Cup™ Jumping Final is up for grabs in the FEI's competition to find a social media star...

To celebrate the FEI Nations Cup™ Jumping series, the FEI has launched a new ‘Social Media Reporter’ scheme in association with St Gallen, Rotterdam, Falsterbo, Hickstead and Dublin FEI Nations Cup™ Jumping organisers.

This scheme will find the local social stars surrounding each qualifier to promote the competition & series on their own social channels.

We are looking for 2-3 reporters to cover each qualifier showcasing the sport and the varying storylines that go along with the event. The best three reporters over the series will win an all-expenses paid trip to Barcelona to cover the FEI Nations Cup™ Jumping Final, in cooperation with the FEI.

Correspondent requirements:

  • Must be over 18
  • Have their own public Instagram & Twitter profiles on which to post. Would also be good if they have a Facebook page they can publish on but this is not a necessity.
  • Post primarily in English with supplementary posts in the local language.
  • Have an understanding of Equestrian sport and showjumping.
  • Follow the ‘Social Media Reporter’ guidelines and T&Cs as set out by the FEI.
  • Be available for 1x interview as required.

How to enter:

Send a message to the FEI Facebook page with a short description (up to 200 words) of why they should be a ‘Social Media Reporter’, which event they would like to attend, links to their social profiles plus contact details.

Judging criteria:

The ‘Social Media Reporter’ for each event will be chosen based on the following criteria:

  • Experience
  • Quality of their posts (text, images, video, GIFs etc)
  • Organic reach of posts
  • Engagement rate

After the final Division 1 qualifier in Dublin, the FEI will select the three winning reporters who will be sent to Barcelona for the FEI Nations Cup™ Final.

The winning reporters will be chosen based on the above criteria as well as:

  • How well the coverage met the brief & guidelines
  • Professionalism on site at the event

So are you a pro at social media, a budding reporter & always wanted to get behind the scenes at an event? What are you waiting for… apply now!
