A Busy Month

It's been a very busy month here at Cavewood with filming for our series Yard Talk and Masterclass. We visited Natasha Baker's yard to talk to her about post Olympic success and watch her masterclass. We then went to film with Louise Bell as she showed us around her fantastic yard. We finished off with a great project filming the new Arit TV ad! This was great fun and when the weather finally played ball we were able to get some great shots, look out for it on H&C TV.

Well it's been a very busy month here at Cavewood.

We were lucky enough to be invited to Double Gold Medal winning Paralympic athlete Natasha Baker's yard for our continuing Horse and Country TV series Masterclass and Yard Talk. Natasha gave us a great masterclass on how to perfect the walk phase of a dressage test, sounds simple, but you don't win two gold medals without perfecting the basics. She then took us on a quick tour of her home town to see the double golden post box painted in her honour. I must say it was like being with a pop star, the amount of well wishers and photos wanted was crazy.

Late last year we were commissioned to film a new TV advert for Ariat. We had the plan in place all we needed was the weather!! so we waited…and waited… and waited until a patch of clear weather presented itself and we dshed off to DHI Event horses near York to film as much as we could. Heid Woodhead, our very talented model, showed immense patience with us turning up at a moments notice and asking her to get changed into correct boots and outfits. But everything went well and Ariat were very pleased with the results. You can see the ad rotating on H&C TV this summer.

We then moved on to our next installment of Yard Talk/Masterclass with a trip to see the lovely Louise Bell. Once again we had some luck with the weather and were able to get a good look around Louise's yard and met some of her exceptional horses. She then showed us how to jump the perfect Working Hunter round! Not easy but if you're going to take tips off anyone it might as well be the best.
